I’m Melissa Price, a Brisbane Wedding Celebrant (though I’ll happily travel further afield) who’s definitely not the softly spoken, funeral-lady type (though they do an amazing job — it’s just not my vibe).
I’m the kind of Marriage Celebrant who laughs out loud, keeps things light, and makes sure your ceremony feels authentically you. Because let’s face it, a little humour goes a long way — and those giggles and smiles make for the best candid photos and memories.
With my background in Event Management, I’m organised to the core (hello, checklists and spreadsheets!), with a sharp eye for detail and a dash of MacGyver skills. Need a pocket square redone? Boutonniere adjusted? Gown fluffed? I’ve got you. And yes — if you see a dot on the ground or a golf tee in the grass, that’s your cue to stand perfectly centred for the arbour shot. Anything to nail those flawless photos!

Note: I’m based on the northside of Brisbane, QLD, but no matter where you’re getting hitched—whether it’s Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, Hervey Bay, the Gold Coast, Northern Rivers NSW (including Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Ballina, and beyond), Scenic Rim, Toowoomba, or tropical destinations like Stradbroke Island, Moreton Island, or Fraser Islands—I’ll happily travel to officiate your wedding.
I also specialise in destination weddings across far north Queensland, Cairns, the Capricorn Coast, on cruise ships (Yes - Carnival Cruise line weddings before you set sail - so fun!), and other unique locations. While travel fees may apply, let’s chat and make it happen! No distance is too far for love. I’ve officiated weddings in Rockhampton, Goondiwindi, Stanley (Victoria’s sub-alpine region), and am excited to celebrate couples in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, the NT, or anywhere else across Australia.

My Story
My adventure as a Celebrant (Marriage Celebrant or Officiant - we go by many names!) began in 2019 in Brisbane. Before stepping into the romantic world of weddings, I danced through diverse industries—everything from major international multi-sport events to corporate meetings and grand celebrations. My greatest achievement? Imagine years of planning coming together in a show-stopping event on the global stage. The thrill was electrifying! Seeing the tears, the smiles, and those unforgettable 'wows' from the crowd left me hooked and hungry for more.
Then, like a graceful ballerina, the global pandemic spun me in a new direction—straight into the heart of weddings and celebrations. An industry bursting with love, adrenaline, and joy? Count me in!
Here's a little about me: I'm super organised, detail-obsessed, and as 'normal' as anyone can claim to be these days. I'm a passionate storyteller who's calm under pressure and dedicated to making your special day unforgettable. Together, we'll craft a celebration as unique as your love story, filled with all the butterflies, buzz, and breathtaking moments of seeing your soulmate waiting for you. I'll be your calm in the whirlwind of wedding excitement.
As a Marriage Celebrant, my mission is to take you and your guests on a heartfelt journey. Expect a rollercoaster of emotions—teary eyes, jaw-dropping moments, and plenty of laughter!

She even helped with last-minute adjustments, like pinning my veil back into my hair when I needed it.
Her ability to handle everything with grace and efficiency was remarkable. In all honesty, I can't think of anything she could have done better.
Melissa exceeded all our expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a celebrant and/or MC. She truly is the best in the business.
