Heya, I’m Mellissa. Can I tell you a little secret?

Nothing, and I mean nothing, has been harder than being a wedding celebrant. 

I'm expected to make friends with new couples and hear all about their love story, party with their family and friends every weekend, play with cute babies and pat all the ring-bearing dogs. Absolute nightmare, as you can imagine.

But the pain is worth every second. Watching a couple's nerves melt away as their guests burst into laughter, earning the tick of approval from both their bestie and their nan — that's a high I'll never get enough of.

Your wedding day is all about you, and I'm here to make sure it feels 210% you. No funeral-lady vibes. Just genuine fun, warmth and good banter from start to finish.

How I Got Started As A Marriage Celebrant


Before becoming a Celebrant, I spearheaded international relations at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, coordinated private chartered flights for celebrities and VIPs (Thor included — yes, that Thor), and juggled event management, operations and logistics for a living. 

Safe to say I was born with a checklist in one hand and a schmooze button in the other. Which comes in really, really handy when you have me as your Celebrant and MC.

Because this job is more than cracking a few jokes and keeping guests entertained. I'm your confidante, peacekeeper and panic button all in one. Whether it's helping you plan an unforgettable ceremony, navigating last-minute adjustments, or producing emergency antihistamines, I'll have your back every step of the way. Pinky promise.
